Our Advocacy Priorities

Advocacy to the state and federal governments is an important aspect of the work Bass Coast Shire Council do to secure resources and support for community projects and infrastructure. By effectively communicating local needs and priorities, Council can influence policy decisions, funding allocations and take actions that directly benefit community, businesses, organisations and visitors

The Advocacy Strategy 2023-26 guides how and why we advocate to meet the needs of our local community. Learn more about our Federal and State Advocacy Priorities by reading the priorities below or by visiting the Advocacy & Partnerships page on the main website and downloading the documents.
