Council has commenced stage 1 of the Cowes Streetscape Master Plan which includes:

• Detailed Design of The Esplanade (between Bass Avenue and Warley Street) and Thompson Avenue North (from Chapel Street to The Esplanade)
• Landscaping works to the northern road reserve in Church Street (adjoining Berninneit)
• Developing the Cowes Activity Centre Style Guidelines

In October 2023, Outlines Architecture was engaged to complete the detailed design for The Esplanade and Thompson Avenue North. Throughout the duration of the project, contractors will conduct the necessary site investigations to complete the detailed design works. It is anticipated that this stage of the project will be completed by July 2024, subject to permits and approvals.
