This is an administrative process that ensures signage clearly shows the currently approved speed zones.

The primary objectives for this change is to formalise the current status for future changes to the speed zone along Cowes-Rhyll Rd between Thompson Avenue and Coghlan Road, which will improve the uniformity of speed zones. The Department of Transport and Planning are the responsible authority for speed zone changes and applications go to them for changes to existing zones.

Council will continue to monitor speed and safety in this area as these changes are implemented.
