Bass Coast Shire Council are committed to implementing immediate, medium and long-term strategies to tackle the issue, in collaboration with a range of coastal management groups including the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).

There are 180 kilometres of coastline in Bass Coast and this coastline is managed by 8 different land managers: Council, Parks Victoria, Phillip Island Nature Parks, DEECA and township based Committees of Management. The map to the right shows which part of the foreshore is managed by which entity.

All of the Land Managers work collaboratively towards solutions to this issue that affects Bass Coast and beyond.
