Project Summary

The Anderson Street Reserve Master Plan project will develop the greenfield site to provide for the active and passive recreation needs of the growing San Remo community. Catering to the whole population, the plan includes a playspace, universal fitness area, rotunda, plantings for shade, accessible parking, and pathways to link the space together.

Catering for the wider population that incorporates universal design principles such as a play space, universal fitness area, shelter, plantings for shade, accessible parking, and pathways to link it all together.
  • Creating a connection from the new residential development to the township.

This project is funded by Council ($100,000) and the State Government ($517,000) in the order of $617,000.

  • New concrete footpaths to allow for better access across the park, including accessible car parking spaces on Anderson Street.
  • A new shelter with a drinking water fountain including a dog bowl.
  • A new play space, universal fitness area, new picnic table and seating.
  • Sections of the open space area will be closed to the public during the construction period.
  • Appropriate traffic and pedestrian control measures will be implemented onsite. This will be a construction zone. We would like to advise that for your own safety and others, access will not be available to the public. A temporary perimeter fence will be installed to stop public access to the construction site.
  • The use of heavy plant and machinery including noisy, and vibration works for construction including use of trucks for removal or delivery of materials.
