Bass Coast Shire Council has now completed the construction of a new soccer pavilion within the Wonthaggi Recreation Reserve.
This project represents another investment in sport and recreation facilities in Wonthaggi and is a high-quality facility.
There are over 100 players and approximately 30 officials and umpires who regularly participate in this sport. This exciting project results in a new soccer change room pavilion which includes fit for purpose change rooms, showers, toilets, kitchen and storage area which provide players and referees with a suitable environment to conduct sporting activities.
The total project costs were in the order of $870,000. Contributions to this project include Council ($120,000), Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV $700,000) and Wonthaggi United Soccer Club ($50,000).
