Construction phase project to stabilize and preserve The Old Wonthaggi Post Office which is a building of heritage value and one of the oldest remaining buildings in Wonthaggi that will be celebrated and enjoyed by future generations. The building will become a safer, more inviting and inclusive space for council's internal meeting, training and forums. A registered architect designed, prepared and costed the renewal works and is complete.

The post office renewal project seeks to renew the interior and exterior of the building.

The interior works include renewal of:

Substructure, services, walls & floors, joinery, fixtures/fittings/ finishes as well as asbestos eradication.

The exterior works include the renewal of:

Roof, doors and door openings, windows, stairs, external walls and porch airlock.
