Bass Coast Shire Council intends to apply to the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) to change the speed limit on the roads in Wonthaggi around the Civic Centre, Country Universities Centre and the Police Station to 40 km/h. It is proposed that the existing 50 km/h zone be changed to 40 km/h, to match the surrounding road network, to improve road safety and encourage access to Wishart Reserve.
