• The Rail Trail Renewal works between Graham Street and Lower Powlett Road with gravel overlay with replacement of seats along the trail will improve the delineation, surface and aesthetics along the Rail Trail.
• This project represents another investment on shared paths with the renewal of Rail Trail surface and associated assets in Wonthaggi which will significantly improve the condition of this section of the Rail Trail.
• This project will improve safety for all path users with greater connection and accessibility.

This project is funded by Council in the order of $250,000.

• Preparation of the rail trail for the gravel overlay works.
• 100mm gravel overlay works – between Graham St and Lower Powlett Road.
• Replacement of existing seats.
• Appropriate traffic and pedestrian control measures will be implemented onsite with the traffic controllers and all required signages.
• Construction works will be programmed with the rail trail remaining open for the public.
• The use of heavy plant, noisy machinery and vibration works for construction including use of trucks for removal and delivery of materials.
