Bass Coast Shire appointed Super Paving (Vic) Pty Ltd to carry out the construction of a new raised pedestrian safety platform on the intersection of Wilson Avenue and William Street Service Road, Inverloch.

The works were designed to reduce vehicles speeds and give prominence to pedestrians.

The works are now complete.

The raised safety platform will encourage pedestrian activity by:

  • reducing vehicle speed;
  • marking it clearer that pedestrians have priority; and
  • providing a smooth continuous path for pedestrians.

This project was funded by Council in the order of $95,000 as a part of Council's 2021/22 Capital Works Program.
