Project Summary
Bass Coast Shire Council appointed ASCO Group (AUST) Pty Ltd for the design and construction of a new accessible public toilet and barbecue facility at the Krowera Hall.
- This project forms part of Council's commitment to deliver the renewal of community facilities across the Bass Coast Shire as part of the objective to contribute to the social health and wellbeing of the surrounding community.
- After extensive investigation and consultation, the Krowera toilet block and barbecue area will be removed and replaced with an upgraded facility to provide universal access, public safety and compliance with current Australian standards.
The total project cost is $290,000 and is fully funded by Council as part of the Building and Open Space Capital Works Program 2023/24.
- Demolition and removal of the existing toilet block and barbecue area.
- Installation of new modular toilet block and barbecue facility including other ancillary works such as accessible concrete footpaths and final reinstatement works.
- Removal and replacement of colorbond fencing to the south and western boundaries.
- Relocation of historical boiler within the site.
- Appropriate traffic and pedestrian control measures will be implemented onsite during these works. This site will be a construction zone and for your own safety and that of others. There will be some access restrictions.
- The use of plant and machinery including noisy, and vibration works during demolition and construction.
