Project Summary

Following a competitive open tender process, Bass Coast Shire Council has appointed TS Constructions Pty Ltd to undertake the Kilcunda Bass Football changeroom refurbishment works in Bass.

The purpose of the refurbishment of the Kilcunda Bass Football Change Room is to provide adequate changeroom and canteen facilities for umpires and players within the football and cricket pavilion at Bass Recreation Reserve as per the Active Bass Coast Plan, setting the scene for healthy and active environments and services now and into the future. Both the Kilcunda-Bass Football Club and the Kilcunda-Bass Cricket Club, along with Bass Recreation Reserve Committee of Management, see the benefits associated with these works as integral to the long-term sustainability of their clubs.

This project is part of Council’s adopted Capital Works Program 2023/24 and is funded by Council in the order of $665,000.

  • Upgrade of the existing cricket social space, new toilet and shower amenities in the away change rooms and additional works in the change room area including new flooring and lighting. This will create unisex amenities that are fit for purpose, meeting the needs of the user groups who play and train at the reserve.
  • The installation of a new canteen/kitchen. This will provide patrons with access to canteen facilities on the spectator viewing side of the reserve, rather than having to walk across to the social pavilion on the other side.
