About the Project
The Erehwon Point precinct – from Lovers Walk to the Jetty Triangle in Cowes – attracts local residents and visitors year-round.
We are undertaking consultation with the community to see how we can improve access to , through and within this area for everyone.
We know that this area has some steep sections, stairs, narrow and disconnected pathways and we want to understand how you currently use the Precinct, as well as how you would like to use it into the future. If you avoid the area due to limited pathway access, connections or safety concerns, your feedback could be invaluable to this project.
We met with Council’s Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee members onsite and sought feedback on the challenges of the current pathway network.
The community engagement process was open from 2 December 2022 to 6 February 2023, to collect feedback on pathway access, connections and safety concerns from various stakeholder groups, community members, visitors and organisations. Consultation is now closed.
Your feedback will support the development of a three-stage Action Plan to address the high, medium and low priorities identified by our community, as part of this process.
Next steps: The action plan will be finalised by June 2023.
