Bass Coast Shire Council’s Infrastructure Delivery Department will commence works in the New Year to re-render two external walls at the Phillip Island Football Clubrooms in Cowes. The project details are outlined below.

The Project

  • Removal of failed cement render application to the external front and side walls of the clubrooms.
  • Application of new render with colour to match existing.

We appreciate your patience during the construction period, and please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions before or during the project.

  • Removal of existing render: the current render on two external walls will be removed.
  • Application of bonding agent: a bonding agent will be applied by roller to all walls to ensure maximum adhesion to previously painted surfaces.
  • Base coat application: a base coat of render will be applied to both walls using a trowel, ensuring uniform thickness.
  • Topcoat application: a topcoat will be applied to the base coat to achieve a float sand finish.
  • Final coat application: a coat of membrane (Monument) will be applied to all rendered walls.
  • Site clean-up: all building materials will be removed from the site upon completion.

This project is funded by Bass Coast Shire Council's Minor Building Renewal Program at a cost of $22,000.

  • The contractor will ensure the works zone is tapped/flagged off to restrict public access during works under construction.
  • The site will be left clean and tidy over the weekends with all building materials and tools of trade removed.
  • Access to the clubrooms will not be restricted during work.
  • Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place for the duration of the work.
  • Emergency access will be maintained during the construction works.
