Council in partnership with the community have worked to development the Fred Gration Reserve Open Space Master Plan.

A consultation process was conducted whereby a draft plan was developed with the community. Once developed the draft plan was made available for feedback that was incorporated into the final master plan.

Key actions in the final master plan include:

• Creation of a picnic space with inclusion of a barbeque facility
• Improved drainage for the reserve
• More shelter at the community garden
• A new play space with a fitness area
• Replacement of the basketball court with a multi-use space which may include netball, cricket, tennis hit up wall and pickleball

Council adopted the master plan at its June 2023 Council meeting.
