About the Project
At just over an hour’s drive south-east of Melbourne, the Bass Coast region offers over 180 kilometres of spectacular coastline, beautiful wilderness areas, scenic hinterland and a laid back lifestyle.
Day trips can be a lot of fun, but less than 24 hours spent in our magnificent region just isn't enough!
That’s why many visitors to our region choose to stay and play longer.
We asked for feedback on the Caravan and Camping options that currently exist across the Bass Coast region until 8 May and received a total of 284 responses to the survey.
Survey respondents ranged in age,
with the majority (40%) 51-65 years, 34% over 65 years, 21% between 36-50 years,
and 5% aged 35 years and under.
A report with a full analysis of the feedback received during the consultation is available on the Council Agenda from 15 June 2022 Council Meeting from page 142.
