Bass Coast Shire Council’s Infrastructure Delivery department will be commencing minor building and open space renewal works throughout the Shire commencing in January 2025. The project details are outlined here and in the Programs of Works below.
We appreciate your patience during the construction period, please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions before or during the project.
The Project
- Our goal is to address and fix critical defects that were identified during the Building and Open Space evaluation and condition audit. By tackling these issues, we aim to minimise risks to Council and ensure that we can continue to provide quality services to the community.
- Repairing or renewing these defects will not only extend the lifespan of our Building and Open Space assets but also reduce the need for ongoing maintenance. This proactive approach will help us mitigate any potential safety risks, ensuring that our community spaces remain safe and enjoyable for everyone.
- To repair and or replace timber assets such as bollards, steps and balustrade, fencing, retaining walls and board walks etc.
This project is funded by the Bass Coast Shire Minor Buildings and Open Space Renewal Program at a total cost of $541,000.
- All work zones will be clearly taped or flagged off to restrict public access during construction. This measure is crucial for everyone's safety, and we kindly ask you to respect these restricted areas.
- Once the construction work is completed, the sites will be left clean and tidy. All building materials and tools will be removed to ensure that the area is restored to its original condition.
- Appropriate traffic and pedestrian control measures will be in place for the duration of the works. We are committed to minimising any inconvenience to the community and ensuring that everyone can move around safely.
- Please be assured that emergency access will always be available during construction works.
