Council renewed the rail trail's bollards within Bass Coast Shire's open space areas which have come to the end of their useful life.

The replacement bollards are made of recycled plastic and are an excellent alternative to timber. They are robust and will not split, rot, crack or need painting.

Improve delineation and aesthetics along the Rail Trail. Replacement of the old rotted and missing bollards with new composite material bollards in line with Councils Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) Policy. This material requires minimal maintenance and has a life span in excess of 50 years.

The re-sheeting component of this project has enhanced walkability and rideability by removing uneven surfaces.

These works were fully funded by Council in the order of $115,000.
