Bass Coast Shire Council has appointed Super Paving (Vic) Pty Ltd under our annual supply contract to complete Kerb Renewal works in Bruce Street, Inverloch.
Please note that access to properties, affected by these works, will be restricted for a four-day period following from when the concrete kerb is poured.
This project will result in:
- The renewal of the higlighted section of Bruce Street.
Kerb and channel works ensure that Council's road network is sustainable and Council can continue to provide appropriate levels of service for road users well into the future.
These works are funded in the order of $160,000 by Council’s adopted Capital Works Kerb Renewal Program 2022/23.
- Removal and installation of approximately 300 metres of barrier kerb and aggie lines on the south and northeast sides of the road, including some laybacks into driveways.
- As part of these works, new concrete may be placed through landowner’s driveways. Access to properties will be restricted for a four-day period following from when the concrete kerb is poured. This is required to allow the concrete to set properly before any vehicles can use their driveway. Our contractor will advise you, in advance, of any works affecting access to their properties.
- Reconstruction of road pavement one metre in front of the new sections of kerb and channel, including asphalt surfacing.
- Appropriate traffic and pedestrian control measures will be implemented onsite during these works. This will be a construction zone and we appreciate that for your own safety and others that access will be restricted. Our staff and contractor will notify nearby residents who may be impacted by these works.
- The use of heavy plant and machinery including vibration and noisy works for construction including saw cutting, use of trucks for removal or delivery of materials.
