Wonthaggi Structure Plan Review
By 2036, the Wonthaggi-Inverloch Census Statistical Area is expected to reach over 34 000 people
Wonthaggi is Bass Coast's largest settlement and urban growth area and the regional centre for employment and services. Robust planning is critical to ensure the town continues to support both residents and our wider community.
In 2018, Bass Coast Shire Council prepared the Wonthaggi Structure Plan which built on existing work in the 2008 Wonthaggi-Dalyston Structure Plan.
It is now time again to chart the future of the Wonthaggi township and determine our future directions.
We encourage you do the following:
- Read the 2018 Structure Plan and reflect on what has changed and where we should be heading
- Share your ideas for the future of Wonthaggi on the interactive map or provide feedback on other's ideas
- Complete the short survey to tell us what's important to you
- Follow this page to find out when Expressions of Interest go live for the Community Reference Group
- Attend one of our drop in sessions on the 7th or 22nd October at Wonthaggi Town Hall
