The Wonthaggi skatepark area is getting a makeover - and your ideas matter!

We need your help to make this new Wonthaggi Active Youth Space (WAYS) the most exciting place in town.

This project is all about creating a space for you — a place to hang out, move, play, and connect with friends in ways that feel fun, safe, and genuinely exciting. It’s about creating a place you actually want to be.

The upgrade will include a skate park, pump track and refreshed playground. Just as important are the new social spaces — spots to chill, talk, watch what’s happening, and be part of the vibe, even if you’re not skating or playing.

But before anything is locked in, we want to hear from you.

This consultation is your chance to share what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d like to see in this space. Whether you’re using the skate park every week, hanging out with friends nearby, or just passing through, your experiences and ideas will help shape a space that feels safe, welcoming and genuinely youth‑friendly.
