Project Summary
Bass Coast Shire Council appointed Engeny Pty Ltd together with Agon to carry out the installation of three groundwater monitoring devices in Silverleaves.
Works have been completed.
- This project aims to understand the relationship between tidal/groundwater and stormwater matters within the site to inform future planning needs and strategies.
This project is part of Council’s adopted 2023/24 Capital Works Program and the total cost is in the order of $24,000.
- Drilling and installation of three groundwater monitoring boreholes including installation of a piezometer (device). These are a cost-effective and minimally invasive instrument to track groundwater behaviour (and depth to groundwater). The completed installation will look like the picture below.
- All works will be within the reserve adjacent to Chale Court and Honeysuckle Road. Traffic access will not be restricted by the works. As always, emergency vehicle access will be provided.
- The use of drilling plant and machinery including noise for the installation of the bores.
