About the Bass Coast Rural Engagement Group
The Bass Coast Rural Engagement Group was formed in 2013 as an advisory group to Council to ensure an open, productive relationship between Council and representatives of the agricultural sector.

As a member, you’ll help support Council’s strategic goals, protecting our natural environment, strengthening the local economy, and promoting a healthy, thriving community.

The group is chaired by Cr Tim O'Brien.
Advisory group member expectations
We ask that our committee members agree to the following:
- Attend in-person two-hour meetings on a quarterly basis.
- Actively contribute constructively in meetings.
- Agree to abide by the Rural Engagement Group Terms of Reference.
You can sign up to be on the committee for a minimum one or two-year term.
