Project Summary

Bass Coast Shire Council’s Infrastructure Delivery department will be commencing construction works for a new footpath connecting the viewing platform to the toilet block and jetty at Grantville Foreshore. The project details are outlined below.

About the Project:

The project includes construction of a new concrete path from the jetty to the viewing platform.

The works include:

  • Preliminaries including mobilisation, site establishment & clearing
  • Installation of 125mm depth concrete path connecting the viewing platform to the existing jetty
  • Installation of 125mm concrete path to the existing toilet block
  • Installation of 150mm concrete boat ramp to the new footpath
  • Cleaning and demobilisation

This project is funded by Bass Coast Shire Council to the value of $42,933.73.

  • Removal of native vegetation as per the Environmental Management Plan & Authority Conditions during the works
  • Temporary barricading will be in place to secure the work site and keep people from entering to the construction site
  • No road closure is expected during the construction works
  • Appropriate traffic and pedestrian control measures will be implemented during these works
  • Our staff and contractor will notify nearby residents and user groups who may be impacted by these works
  • The project will result in minor noise and vibration from plant and machinery used for construction, including earthmoving equipment and use of trucks for delivery of crushed rock and concrete
