About the Project
The Communications, Engagement and Advocacy Strategy 2026-2029 will set out how we will communicate clearly with stakeholders, foster meaningful engagement and advocate for local priorities to deliver the Council Plan 2025-2029 and advance the Community Vision 2045.
Good communication, meaningful engagement and strong advocacy all play an important role in how we work with our community. Clear communication helps people easily find the information they need, understand what’s happening, and feel confident they’re being kept in the loop. It could be the content on our website, the news in the local newspaper even our Social Media channels.
Community engagement is involving people in decisions that impact them. Quality engagement creates real opportunities for people to share their ideas, experiences and local knowledge — helping Council make more informed, community-centred decisions.
Advocacy adds another important layer. By understanding community needs and priorities, Council can speak up on behalf of Bass Coast and work with other levels of government and partners to deliver better outcomes.
We're seeking your feedback to help shape the Strategy.
The opportunity to provide feedback closes Sunday 5 April 2026.
