Project Summary
Bass Coast Shire Council has engaged a bridge engineering consultant to undertake a detailed structural inspection of the Bourne Creek Timber Trestle Bridge in Kilcunda. The inspection will help Council better understand the condition of the bridge and support future maintenance and asset management planning.
- Detailed inspection of the timber bridge structure.
- Timber condition testing and structural assessments.
- Collection of information for a load rating assessment.
- Complete load rating assessment.
- Preparation of engineering recommendations.
- Fully funded by Bass Coast Shire Council as part of its ongoing bridge asset management program.
- Engineers working on and beneath the bridge.
- Rope access equipment may be used during inspections.
- Temporary access restrictions or short delays may occur while works are underway.
- The bridge will remain open where safe to do so.
