• Carbon Drawdown Smart Farms Pilot Project

    Support for improved agricultural and farming practices, including investigation and development of carbon capture and drawdown practices. Smart Farms will contribute to a stronger local economy, increase productivity and enable farms to diversify to build resilience to climate change hazards and future proof productivity.

    Council is seeking $500,000 to support a carbon drawdown research and demonstration project in Bass Coast, working with key stakeholders.

    Council seeks State Government incentives to be available and accessible to low income and vulnerable community members for energy efficiency/emission reduction projects.

    Council seeks funding support of $300,000 to administer programs within our community to implement a Pilot ‘Supporting Vulnerable Communities’ Project.
